For our first ever blog writing contest, KusinaMaria.com is tying up with DavaoFoodie.com. And we are asking you what your favorite specialty cake or pastry is?

Just blog about that specialty cake or pastry that you have tasted or been wanting to taste and why you deserve to have it for Christmas. The blogger with the best entry will get that cake or pastry from me.

I, Ria Jose, will bake that pastry for you. So as a limitation, no requests for wedding cakes or fondant cakes, ok? But it can be anything like Super Moist Chocolate Cake with Strawberry Icing, Black Forest Cake, Eclairs with Orange Filling, or Extra Chewy Snickers Cookies.

This contest is limited to Davao City and Metro Manila bloggers only. But if you’re willing to travel to Davao City and/or Metro Manila to claim your prize, then you can join.

In order to qualify for this contest:

1. Write a blog entry entitled “Bake Me a Cake” (Note: Post may include a photo or video.)
2. Blog entry must state the name of the cake or pastry that you want, a brief description of what the pastry is, and why you deserve to have one for the Christmas Season.
3. Link to KusinaMaria.com and DavaoFoodie.com anywhere on your post.
4. Email to riajose@gmail.com with the Subject Line: “Bake me a Cake entry,” the URL of your post, your real name, location, active contact number, and email address.
5. Entries must be submitted on or before 12 midnight of December 1, 2009 (Philippine Time).
6. Only one entry is allowed for every blog.

Blog entries will be judged based on its creativity and how challenging the requested pastry or cake is. The decision of the contest judges and sponsors shall be final and not open to any appeals.

As already mentioned, the baker is limited to making certain cakes and pastries so please consider that when making your entries. Certain pastries such as souffle and pavlova have to be consumed right after baking so take that into consideration also.

Winners will be notified by email and via this blog and on DavaoFoodie.com on December 10, 2009.

The top entry will win the cake or pastry he/she requested baked lovingly by the blogger, Ria Jose.

The blog sponsors reserve the right to modify to mechanics of this contest as they deem necessary.
