Kangaroo Choco Bread Pudding A La Mode

In French, “a la mode” means in current style or fashion. But when it comes to food, “a la mode” or “ala mode” means to serve with ice cream on the top or on the side.

This is a popular way of making yummy desserts and pastries even more yummy and interesting. Pies, brownies, and even cakes are warmed and served with chilled ice cream, usually vanilla.

Chocolate and fruit based pastries go well with creamy vanilla ice cream. Vanilla has a subtle flavor that complements rich and flavorful pastries.

My favorite is chewy, chocolatey brownies with walnuts warmed and served with a generous serving of vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate syrup. HEAVEN! A perfect mix of chocolate and vanilla.

The photo above is Choco Bread Pudding Ala Mode served by Kangaroo Coffee Company. It is a yummy combination.

What is your favorite dessert served ala mode?
