Banana Split

Banana Split

I’m not a big fan of uncooked bananas. But serve it with ice cream, nuts, syrup, and cream, and I will eat it in record time. I love ice cream. Ergo, I loooove banana splits.

So I was excited to join FoodBuzz’s Top 9 Takeover for Ovarian Cancer Research in partnership with Kelly Confidential. In fact, I have already made a handful of banana splits on the Kelly Confidential site.

However, my virtual splits are not what my ideal banana split would be. You see here’s what would be on my ideal banana split:

  • a scoop of mocha ice cream,
  • a scoop of vanilla ice cream,
  • a scoop of coffee ice cream,
  • chocolate syrup,
  • chocolate covered coffee beans,
  • corn flakes,
  • walnuts,
  • whipped cream, and
  • cherries.

Mmm… I do love mocha and coffee ice cream. And I think a banana split with those two flavors would bring me to heaven. Vanilla ice cream would balance out the richness of those two. And yes, my favorite toppings on ice cream are walnuts and corn flakes. A combination of those plus heavenly chocolate covered coffee beans, some chocolate syrup, dollops of whipped cream, and some cherries, WHAT MORE CAN I ASK FOR?!

Certainly, the banana split of my dreams.

That sounds like my ideal banana split, too! You might want to check out Frozen Avenue along Bajada (if you haven’t yet), they offer yummy ice cream treats! =)
