Spiced Gourmet Tuyo with Capers and Olives

This was my breakfast last Sunday. Looks yummy? IT IS! It’s Spiced Gourmet Tuyo with Capers and Olives. Consider it a fusion of Filipino and Mediterranean cuisines, of my favorites.

It’s easy to prepare. Take some bottled spiced gourmet tuyo, heat with the oil it came with. Heat over low fire on a pan. Add some capers and black olives. Green olives or a combination of green and black can also be used. I didn’t even have to season with salt, just some pepper.

If you don’t have a lot of time, put the tuyo in a microwavable container. Add in the capers and the olives. Season with pepper. Pop in the microwave oven for about 30 seconds and you’re done!

Serve with rice and eggs, preferably scrambled for me. It’s a hearty breakfast meal that will make you want more, more, more RICE PLEASE!

There are lots of bottled gourmet tuyo brands here in Davao such As Bueno which I used last Sunday. But my favorite is from Tiny Kitchen. They have it in corn oil or olive oil, spicy and not.

Tiny Kitchen is located along Torres Street corner Mabini Street, Davao City. You may reach them at +6382-6095, +6382-3059232.

its looks like a little bit of a messy, im the type of “eater” that also looks at the looks of the food (the presentation) but anyway as the old saying says, dont judge the book by its cover… so i wont go just by the looks.. i better taste it first right?
