It is cooked by preparing tender thin slices of beef cooked on a pan-grilled on a skillet, with noodles, tofu and vegetables, and a broth made with dashi, mirin, Japanese soy sauce, and sugar. Here is my simple Sukiyaki recipe formulated with the help of my aunts.

Last year, they passed on the toque to us, me and my cousins to prepare the Noche Buena. I was very much stressed out thinking I’d have to satisfy the taste and tummies of…

I usually like my frozen yoghurt with mochi or coffee jelly to balance the tartness, but I decided to have a fruity soury delight…

This was my breakfast last Sunday. Looks yummy? IT IS! It’s Spiced Gourmet Tuyo with Capers and Olives. Consider it a fusion of Filipino and Mediterranean cuisines, of my favorites. It’s easy to prepare. Take some bottled spiced gourmet tuyo, heat with the oil it came with. Heat over low fire on a pan. Add some capers and black olives….

I love pasta. And I love tomatoes and tomato-based dishes. Needless to say, I love pasta with tomato-based sauces. And one of the first pasta dishes I learned how to make on my own when I was still in college was Spaghetti alla Puttanesca. Back then I didn’t even know how to make Pomodoro and other basic sauces and tomato…
