Marshmallow + Belgian Chocolate + Topping

Last Christmas season, I saw this cute booth in a Davao bazaar. They sold homemade marshmallow treats and I didn’t hesitate to give in to the temptation. I bought some Pia Mallows in various flavors.

Pia Mallows sells a variety of homemade sweet treats but their most popular and most diverse line is their homemade chocolate covered marshmallows. The chocolatier behind these yummy treats is Kai. Kai lovingly handcrafts the marshmallows and the Belgian chocolates used for every piece of Pia Mallows treat.

With my few and limited experience in crafting chocolate treats, I know that what Kai is doing is an insurmountable task. Marshmallows and chocolates are very difficult and temperamental treats to craft. It takes a lot of patience to successfully make delicious and creamy marshmallows with the right texture and taste.

The result of the arduous process is delicious, rich, smooth chocolate and soft and fluffy marshmallows. Combine the two and you’d get a decadent sweet treat that is made even more delicious by a selection of toppings.
